Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an EHS Manager job for our direct client located in Greenfield, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives within a manufacturing environment. You will partner with management and frontline teams to ensure compliance, promote employee safety, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

EHS Manager Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS programs, tools, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Conduct EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors, maintaining accurate training records.
• Participate in Gemba walks, MDI activities, and safety team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation, logs, and reports, including OSHA and environmental records.
• Oversee emergency response planning, drills, and first responder programs.
• Evaluate new or modified equipment and processes to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Collaborate with corporate EHS teams on audits, Kaizen events, and regulatory updates.
• Stay current on evolving EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Business, or a related Engineering or Manufacturing field.
• Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead EHS initiatives independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, or CEM).
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Familiarity with NFPA, FM Global, and International Building Code regulations.
