Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for Medical Billing Specialist for a mission-driven healthcare organization focused on equitable and compassionate patient care. This is an onsite role located in West Hollywood, California.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Medical Billing Specialist will manage full-cycle medical billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, claims submission, payment posting, and reconciliation. This role supports a small but growing team and works closely with leadership to maintain compliance, efficiency, and high-quality patient billing services. The position offers exposure to multiple systems and collaboration within a supportive and inclusive healthcare environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform full-cycle medical billing, including coding, claims submission, payment posting, and denial management
• Ensure accurate use of CPT and ICD-10 codes in accordance with billing standards
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or payment denials efficiently
• Prepare reports, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end closings
• Support day-to-day billing operations and collaborate with team members to improve processes
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in full-cycle medical billing, including claims processing and payment posting
• Proficiency with CPT and ICD-10 coding standards
• Experience with EHR/Billing Systems, preferably Allscripts
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate a diverse and inclusive work environment

COMPENSATION

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $26$31. The organization prioritizes an inclusive and supportive work environment that champions diversity and equity.
