The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students nationwide with online Psychology tutors. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to Psychology students, tailoring lessons to individual needs. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Use the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions remotely; no commuting required. Be matched with students whose learning style and goals align with your teaching approach. Leverage available tools, including AI-powered features, to enhance instruction and save preparation time. Handle invoicing and payments in coordination with Varsity Tutors’ processes. Qualifications Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Psychology with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Preference given to candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Compensation and Benefits Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential pay up to $40/hour for ongoing engagement with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced. Set your own hours; tutor as much as you’d like. Remote work with no commuting. AI-powered Tutor Copilot assists with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features. Varsity Tutors handles logistics; you invoice for sessions and they manage payments.
