Position Overview Saylor seeks a Senior Graphic & Motion Designer to lead and execute creative projects with a high level of design expertise and professionalism. As a senior graphic & motion designer, you will be pivotal in driving the creative direction of projects, mentoring junior staff, and enhancing our design and motion design outputs. This role requires a seasoned professional who can seamlessly integrate sophisticated design solutions with strategic marketing objectives. You will work closely with Saylor’s Art Director to manage the day‑to‑day design needs of specific agency clients, research and educate yourself and junior members on our client’s visual goals, build and pitch artistic directions, execute comprehensive design needs for campaigns, and assist in the supervision of freelance designers on a needs basis. Additionally, you will contribute to creative brainstorms and uplevel the entire team’s creative acumen. The Senior Graphic & Motion Designer will work across platforms (social, CRM, OOH, etc.), art styles, and a diverse set of client needs. We are looking for a passionate designer who is able to communicate effectively and foster a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional social/editorial instincts, sound judgment, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously. Location and Salary Location: Full‑time, exempt hybrid role with a salary range of $85,000‑$105,000 depending on experience. Must be LA‑based and available to come into the Saylor office in Echo Park twice a week. Responsibilities Creative Leadership: In tandem with the Art Director, lead the design process from concept to completion and translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies. Mentorship: Guide junior designers by providing creative feedback and encouraging professional growth within the design team. Design Execution: Develop and implement visual elements across various media, including digital, social, OOH, and more, ensuring all materials are visually engaging and on‑brand. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from conception through completion in collaboration with cross‑functional team members. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Art Director and cross‑functional team members to ensure design specifications are met and client visions are brought to life with high creative standards. Minimum Requirements 5+ years of graphic/motion design experience in a senior role within a creative agency, preferably in the entertainment sector, or other fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), 3D programs (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc.), and familiarity with web design technologies. Strong portfolio showcasing a broad range of creative projects: 2D, 3D, typography, motion graphics, and deck design. Excellent communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and manage significant design initiatives. A strong eye for visual composition and deep understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and motion best practices. Experience working in a diverse range of mediums, formats, and projects. Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Able to give and receive constructive criticism. Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
