• Senior Risk Analyst / Actuary – ERM & Capital – P&CSenior Risk Analyst / Actuary – ERM & Capital – P&CSalary$Up to US$145000 per annum + bonusLocationShort Hills, Millburn, NJ, USAContractPermanentIndustryActuarial---ContactJessica HarkinJessica.Harkin@oliverjames.com**The Role:*** Location: Northern NJ (hybrid – typically 2-3 days in office)* Compensation: Around $145K base + 10-15% bonus, plus full study support* Reports into: AVP of ERM – working closely with CRO and senior leadershipThis is a chance to join a highly visible, small, and dynamic ERM team that sits at the centre of strategy, capital, and risk decision-making for a major (and very well-respected) insurance group.You’ll be part of a lean, high-performing team working directly with senior leadership – shaping how risk and capital are understood, modelled, and used to steer the business.What you‘ll do:* Take ownership of Economic Capital modelling and related analytics.* Translate data into insight – and insight into action.* Partner with teams across finance, actuarial, and investments.* Contribute to ongoing model development and process improvement.* Be part of a group that’s regarded internally as one of the company’s most capable, well-reviewed functions.### Qualifications:* 3+ years in actuarial, risk, analytics, or financial modelling (insurance background preferred).* Comfortable wearing multiple hats and connecting the dots across data, capital, and strategy.* Progress toward an actuarial qualification (ACAS/FCAS) or CFA/FRM/PRM is ideal.* Intellectually curious, commercially minded, and eager to make an impact.
