Cannabis Dispensary Front Desk Associate Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, organized and welcoming individual to join our team as a Front Desk Associate at our cannabis dispensary located in Woburn, Massachusetts. As the first point of contact for our patients and customers, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule Day, evening, weekends and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities: - Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere upon their arrival.
- Provide accurate information about various cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
- Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions by offering recommendations based on their preferences and needs.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all state and local regulations governing the sale of cannabis products.
- Verify customer identification and age to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of current cannabis laws and regulations in Massachusetts.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and updating product availability in the POS system.
- Monitor stock levels of products on the sales floor and inform management of any shortages or surpluses.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
- Schedule appointments for consultations and ensure a smooth flow of customer traffic.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with dispensary staff to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively with budtenders, managers, and other team members to relay important information.
- Health and Safety:
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
- Adhere to proper hygiene practices and follow sanitation guidelines for handling products and cash.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications a plus.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail, hospitality, or cannabis industry setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and their effects.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Must be at least 21 years old and comply with all state and local regulations.
Working Conditions: - The role involves standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of moderately heavy items.
- Work schedules may include weekends, evenings, and holidays based on dispensary operating hours.
- The work environment includes exposure to cannabis products.
