Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Ready to put your skills to work where it counts? Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk to support a large-scale construction project in Amarillo, TX. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction logistics, inventory control, and shipping/receiving operations, with the ability to travel and remain onsite for extended periods. Per diem is provided and compensation is commensurate with experience.

$40.00 per hour + overtime and per diem

Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Overtime on Saturdays

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of materials, tools, and equipment for the construction site.
• Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage; record discrepancies and report as needed.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring materials are properly packaged, labeled, and documented.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track materials in and out of the laydown yard or warehouse.
• Communicate with site supervisors, drivers, and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently (if certified).
• Maintain a clean, organized shipping/receiving area and ensure materials are stored properly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a construction or industrial environment.
• Proficient in inventory tracking and documentation (manual and digital systems).
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 5075 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Safety-conscious, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Required to travel and remain onsite for the duration of the project.

Job Type: Full-time, temporary
